‘Career Pathfinders’ is a recruitment agency specialising exclusively in the Hospitality, Hotel and Game Lodge industry. The business has functioned for 15 years, having originally started in Johannesburg in 1997, and has been based for the last 12 years in White River, Mpumalanga.
Although based in White River, the operational network spans throughout RSA, and across borders into Africa. As will be seen on the ‘Client Page’ of this website, our client base is widespread, covering a broad spectrum of corporate & leisure hotels, coastal & inland resorts, country hotels and leading game lodges.
The agency is operated by Jerry & Nicki Joyce, who both came from extensive hospitality careers, before their inauguration of Career Pathfinders. Jerry and Nicki worked for twenty years at game lodges, resorts and corporate hotels in South Africa and Botswana, during which time they worked themselves up to senior managerial level.
Having functioned for fifteen years, Career Pathfinders have accumulated a fine reputation of professionalism, integrity and sincerity with both their portfolio of clients, and with the candidates on the database. In addition, their input, advice and recommendations not just on recruitment, but also career and operational issues is frequently requested, and inevitably well received by clients and candidates alike ; with the result that they have secured pleasant and long-term liaisons all along the way.
Indeed, it can be written with confidence here that Career Pathfinders have developed a particular advantage through their insight and knowledge of the recruitment and hospitality industry. And this advantage is put into good practice, as they go about their daily activities, and their conversations with clients and candidates – who regularly bring Career Pathfinders into their confidence, and who look to Career Pathfinders for advice and recommendations.
In reality, it can assuredly be said that by far the majority of those to whom we refer to as clients ; are in point of fact "friends of the business" ...... because such is the manner with which we prefer to conduct our liaisons.
